Perhaps it was because of the hardship we endured, or perhaps the camaradarie that we forge, or perhaps keeping tabs on old friends for old time sake, reminiscing. Perhaps ... :D

Update ~ 21st Apr 2011. 'Befriended' Dato Muslim today via facebook via 'FB suggestion' by Skot Nasir Ishak about an hour ago. LAst we met was at a reunion in Malacca 2006(?) Err.. actually Kapten Razak APMM, Capt (R) Aziz Jamal RMAF and I were wayyyy at back of the hall behind his back , about 'a mile away' hahahahaha . Typical 'Kedet Mat Cha'ie' , lurking in the dark corner. Kalau dulu tu dah 'kun' dah! (Not related to'Ali Khan the kun' as Teoh would say :D) Hmmm catchy FB name ~ "MikeMuslim" , 'Mike' as in "Mike Tyson' or 'Mike (Perak slang meaning 'you') Muslim' ...

'Unbeknoweth' to us, he was tailing at the end but on approaching the last lapse, PTI instructed us cadets to shift to 'overdrive', vroooooooom! and that's when PTI Setaf (Sgt) Bahari realised the OC was lagging behind gasping for air. Nak lumba ngan bebudak 19 to 22 year old, maner boleh tuae, tokleh gi nyoor ..heheh

zainal yan said... - Nor, the incident about mishaps occuring because of the downwash of the Nuri sounds very familiar. I remember an incident when A Nuri picked me up from a Mortar Position in the Lasah area to point out the location of the casualty. The Nuri cant find the location of the Casualty who was a private Sabri from 4 Royal malay Regiment who was shot in the arm the day before. I was a company comamander C Coy 4 Royal Malay then. On reaching the casualty location the Nuri hovers and the Medical Officer then an Indian doctor was winched down. When the winch was coming up with the casualty I was surprised to see the casualty was dark skin. Initaill I thought it was the doctor who became casualty but it happened to Lt Babu Gulam Ali (now allahyarham) who became a casulaty because of the downlash from Nuri's downward thrust.
