Whenever I see a water steel tank perching stoutly on top of a steel frame, it never fails to bring a smile on my face. It reminded me of an incident in Sebatang Karah where all of us were punished with 'extra drill'. It was on a weekend. I was already at home in KL (I think heheh..ingat ingat luper) when someone called up to inform me to be in camp the following Sunday morning. It seemed the majority had taken the 'drill' except for a few of us 'early birds' who had went out early on that particular Saturday morning. Obviously it did spoiled our weekend and early next day we were in camp and did the extra drill as required.
Sebatang Karah had often experienced a few runs of dry spell with no water except the quantity rationed for the cook house use. Apparently a few of our 'friends' had decided to be 'adventurous' n climbed up the steel wall and into the tank (luper lak sape perawi die) only to be caught when 'bubbles' started coming out of the taps in the cook house when it was turned on. "Collateral damages" :D. 'Rumours' has it that five of our 'comrades' were the culprits, and at least two of them were 'senior officers' in their later tenure in service, go figure ;-) akakakakakakakakakakak Masa ni boleh la gelak , masa tu mau disekeh kepala diorang muakakakakakka :D
