Email ~ ssc.in.34@gmail.com A sibling of mine nonchalantly inquired ~ 'Why dwell on the past?' to which I pondered, to which I have no exact answer. Perhaps it was because of the hardship we endured, or perhaps the camaradarie that we forge, or perhaps keeping tabs on old friends for old time sake, reminiscing. Perhaps ... :D

'USJ 6 residents nab and hand over thieving delinquents to cops'
Credit to 'The Star'
'UNABLE to tolerate the unruly behaviour of the neighbourhood’s juvenile delinquents any longer, the USJ 6 Rukun Tetangga (USJ 6 RT) handed the group over to the police.
USJ 6 RT chairman Major Ismail Jr Feisol said it was the last straw for them after they experienced two car break-ins this month.
While there were no witnesses, Ismail said the juveniles came under suspicion because of the nature of the crime where only petty things such as small change and Touch ‘n Go cards were stolen while the more valuable car radios were left intact.
“These are not professional thieves, they are just opportunists,” said Ismail.
In addition, the group of about six to eight boys in their early teens were known to the RT, having been previously caught red-handed stealing badminton racquets at the park, vandalising cars and stealing bicycles from house compounds.

Ismail, who owns a restaurant in Summit USJ shopping mall, had also regularly seen the group of boys loitering at the mall during school hours.
Both the RT and police have reprimanded the boys in the past for their unruly acts but the group did not seem to learn their lesson.
“Initially, we did not want to pursue this, but it seems like they are getting from bad to worse. If they are doing this at the age of 13 to 14, can you imagine what will happen when they are 18?”
Ismail said crime in the area dropped tremendously since the formation of the RT four years ago and its greater cooperation with police.
However, he is frustrated that the whole community has yet to get a gated-and-guarded system set up and believes that having perimeter fencing could further reduce incidences of snatch thefts and car battery thefts.
“There are not enough police personnel to be everywhere at once. We need the cooperation of the residents to report things to the police,” he said.
But on the issue of the juvenile delinquents in the area, who come from poorer families, Ismail sees it as a side-effect of greater socioeconomic problems in Malaysia.
“These problems cannot be solved by the police alone, but with the cooperation of the community and other government agencies such as the Welfare Department and the National Anti-Drugs Agency,” he added.'

Komando turned chef...
Photo Credit to Harian Metro dated 30th Apr 2015 with thanks.
Chef with his exquisite dishes
Ikan bersirih daun kaduk
Goreng lutut ayam
Kerabu maggi
Drop by at Summit Bamboo Garden....

'....house broken into twice in ten days last october....'
Article, photo grab n video courtesy of Al Jazeera's '101 East - Malaysia's Gang Menace'
"Malaysia's gang menace
Malaysia’s violent ganglands are luring many ethnic indians struggling to fit into a segregated society.
101 East Last updated: 11 Jul 2014 12:49
Malaysia has a number-coded underworld with names such as "04", "08", and "Double 7".
In 2013, police identified 49 illegal gangs nationwide, with nearly 40,000 known members. More than 70 per cent of felons are ethnic Indians, who make up just 7 per cent of Malaysia’s population. Though small in number, they have been linked to a wide array of crimes - such as armed robberies, drug and prostitution rings, loan-sharking, gambling and extortion rackets, and even contract killings.
101 East spoke exclusively with a senior gang member, who reveals how these criminal organizations provide protection and work opportunities for many Malay indians who live in poverty. The gangs prey on vulnerable youngsters with the lure of fast money and bonds of brotherhood.
Many of them worked in Malaysia's rubber plantations after they migrated during British colonial rule. For generations, the estates provided thousands of indian families with housing, jobs and schools. But that all changed in the 1970s when new economic policies saw private companies take over the estates, replacing rubber with oil palm and hiring cheaper foreign labour. Today, within one generation, most estate Indians have been forced into urban centres, leaving them unskilled and trapped in poverty.
While the government and the opposition trade statistics about the true extent of crime in Malaysia, the perception among locals is that the country has undoubtedly become a more dangerous place in recent years."

Maj (R) Ismail Feisol, RGK, Angler Extra Ordinaire ;D
Just had a chat with the dude tonite! Left RGK in 1993 to become a professional Angler! 'Macam professional Golfer la..'. Facebook Account here. Travelling all over the world promoting products and plying his trade to the best he can. Great chatting with him a while back, basically summed up as per a caption on his photo profile 'I miss the good old days when friends were simple and life was just getting up and going to school but alas we grow older and complication seeps in.....'
He named a few names which I had utterly forgotten ~ Zamani, Alias Lisut, Norizan (based jumped recently in Alor Setar) and I added with Zainal Abidin, Mustapha, Mohamad, all RGKs, except for Mohamad , all had left the service.
And ultimately the name of Arwah 'Ismail Malukut' came up . 'Dia ikut sampai ke RMC, Geli..' hahahahahah that u're right my friend.. Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un May Allah provide good provisions to arrwah and his family, ameen
