Alam Maritim still not in favour of debt scheme

MD says terms of settlement by Vastalux is not agreeable

PETALING JAYA: Alam Maritim Resources Bhd (AMRB) is still not agreeable to the proposed debt restructuring scheme (PDRS) by Vastalux Sdn Bhd (VSB), a debt-ridden subsidiary of Vastalux Energy Bhd (VEB). VSB owed Alam Maritim (M) Sdn Bhd, AMRB's wholly-owned subsidiary, a total of RM146.8mil, where Alam Maritim is one of the creditors listed on VSB's PDRS. Of the total debt, VSB was reported to have proposed 20% be paid via the issuance of 117.5 million new shares in VEB, 50% to be settled by the issuance of 293.62 million redeemable cumulative unsecured loan stocks (RCULS) while the remaining 30% was to be waivered.

     The good colonel is now residing in Sg Buloh while his place of employment is in MINDEF.   According to The Star dated 26th Jan 2006, our skot was conferred the Pingat Khidmat Cemerlang Masyarakat (PMC) from the Yam Tuan Besar Negri Sembilan.       I remembered an incident in Sebatangkarah, a few skots & he were late for prep class after dinner and was caught by the Duty Officer. He was in front and froze like a solid rock. It was amazing , though he was whacked with all intensity with a thick ratan rod smack in the middle of his forehead , he was unflinching and didn't move even a muscle!  Perhaps he was single out as a n example to others but the punishment meted out was over doing it me thinks.  Anyway, that's to  show how sturdy our skot was (is). Who the instructor u say? That's for Hamid & me to know y'all ta friggin' find out dude! :D May Allah bless us all , ameen.
