Capt (R) Mohd Yusof Rabaie RMAF

Met him today in Taiping at around 3:45 PM. Currently doing his own business at the corner lot in Wisma Persekutuan building in Taiping, next to Taiping IPD. We did a few minutes of chit chat, as his customers are waiting for him n I've got to move on. He told me Zambri Hassan had informed him on the reunion this coming June 19th. He left service in 1991. I feel exhilarated just seeing him  after so many years :D

Capt (R) Wan Hamat bin Sapee RMAF

Met him at Shah Alam. We talk about the good old times, right up from Sebatangkarah, RMC, the days when we were at stationed together at Kinrara, over two glasses of 'Teh beng' each. Last saw him 6 to 8 eight years when we went together with Abdul Aziz Jamal and Abdul Razak Abdul Rahman to SSC Intake 34 Reunion to a Hotel in Malacca. He left in the early nineties, did several jobs and has been a remisier for almost 11 years till now.

Deceased, Allahyarham Lt Col Istamar Teguh..

Inna lillahi wa inna ilaihi raji'un. I got to know Lt Col Istamar Teguh death's while reading an article by Brig Gen Mohd Arshad Raji (R) today entitled '9th Battalion Royal Malay Regiment' , at his website 'Mind No Evil' , the excerpt as follows:

'I had send a message to my Commander requesting that I be relieve of my command only after I had completed my tour of operational duty.  Earlier, I had received a message from HQ 4th Infantry Brigade ordering me to report for duty without delay, and it was because of this message that I had requested from my Commander to allow me to complete my operational duty first. My request however was not agreeable to HQ 4th Infantry Brigade, and I had to hand over the battalion while on operational duty to the late Lt Col Istama Teguh, who had just been appointed the CO of the newly raised 31st Battalion RMR.'

According to the good General , he died more than 10 years ago.

'As'kum Mesy telah memutuskan utk mengadakan ReUnion 34 ke 33 pd 19 Jun 11. Acara yg telah ditetapkan, Golf di Bukit Unggul Gc, Bangi, tee-off jam 8.00 am. Lunch n Penyampaian Hadiah. Dinner bertempat di Wisma Perwira 6 Rjr, Kem Wardieburn. Ketibaan Skot2 dan isteri pd jam 8 pm. Para Jemputan jam 8.30pm. Acara yg telah di sarankan Ucapan, Jamuan, Slide Show Before n After. Karaoke, Tembola/Cabutan bertuah Poco poco etc... Jemputan terdiri dari jurulatih n Kedet2 Navy yg taulian bersama kita. Menu konsep stall n BBQ with buah2an tempatan. Pse war-warkan fm SecGen34.

Looking at all these photos of  our skots reminded me of a hadeeth with regards to 'companions':

 'The Prophet ﷺ told us that one of the seven categories of people promised the shade of Allah are two persons who loved each other for the sake of Allah (swt), got together, and departed on this basis. [Bukhari, Muslim]

The article referred to is entitled 'The Best of Companions'. May Allah grant forgiveness and mercy on each and everyone of us, our families, our kinds, our friends, our instructors/teachers, neighbours, muslimeen wal muslimat, ameen
